Details:
On or about Thursday, October 7th, 2020, a collision between a vehicle and a tractor-trailer left a woman dead. Officers said that the accident happened at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr Drive and Ellen Trout Drive in Lufkin, Texas.
Authorities said that the woman was killed when the Toyota Avalon she was driving on MLK Jr Drive when it allegedly failed to yield at the intersection with Ellen Trout Drive and was subsequently t-boned by an eastbound 18-wheeler.
Paramedics pronounced the woman dead of her injuries when they arrived at the scene of the collision.
Martin Luther King Jr Drive is a two lane road with a stop sign at the exchange with Ellen Trout. The intersection is located on the north side of Lufkin.
Texas DPS Troopers are investigating the accident.
