On or about Friday, October 29th, 2021, around 1:40 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle sent a 46-year-old woman to the hospital. Authorities from the DPS said the accident was reported at the intersection of Highway 287 and County Road I in Moore County, Texas.
Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said 46-year-old Patricia Guzman Alvarez was injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly failed to yield and struck her Toyota Camry at the intersection of County Road I and Highway 287. Paramedics rushed Alvarez to the hospital with unspecified injuries after the collision. The driver of the tractor-trailer left the scene but was later found by authorities.
According to Google Maps, Moore County is about 52 miles north of Amarillo.
Police are still investigating the crash.
