On or about Monday, December 21st, 2021, around 9:50 at night, a hit-and-run accident between a pedestrian and a passenger vehicle left a 69-year-old woman dead. Authorities from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along State Highway 110 in Smith County, Texas.

Officials from the area said 69-year-old Patricia Radican was killed when she was allegedly hit by a passing vehicle as she was walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of traffic on Highway 110. After the initial accident the vehicle that struck Radican fled the scene. Radican died of her injuries a short time after the accident, but it is not clear if she died at the scene or after she was rushed to a nearby hospital.

According to Google Maps, Smith County is about 98 miles southeast of downtown Dallas.

Police are still working to track down the vehicle and driver that fled the scene of the incident.
