Details:
On or about Monday, August 15th, 2021, around 6:40 in the morning, an accident between a heavy-duty pickup truck and an SUV claimed the life of a man and woman from Alvarado. Officials from the area said the accident was reported at the intersection of Farm-to-Market 388 and Farm-to-Market 1692 near San Angelo in Tom Green County, Texas.
Troopers from the Texas Department of Public Safety said 94-year-old Patricio Valdez and 75-year-old Irenia Martinez Valdez were killed when the Mitsubishi Outlander they were in was allegedly struck by a Ford F-250 at the intersection of Farm-to-Market 388 and Farm-to-Market 1692. Paramedics pronounced Patricio Valdez dead of his injuries at the scene of the accident, whicle Irenia Martinez Valdez was rushed to nearby Shannon Medical Center where she succumbed to her injuries a short time after the accident.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of Farm-to-Market 388 and Farm-to-Market 1692 is a short distance from San Angelo, which is about 211 miles northwest of San Antonio.
Police are still examining the circumstances surrounding the accident.
