On or about Thursday, July 15th, 2021, around 12:45 in the afternoon, an accident between a DoT truck and a tractor-trailer sent two men to the hospital. Troopers from the MSHP said the accident occurred along Highway 59 just outside St. Joseph in Buchanan County, Missouri.
Investigators said 52-year-old Paul Bennett and James Morris were injured when Morris’ DoT truck allegedly made a wide turn into the path of Bennett’s tractor-trailer when the vehicles collided. Morris was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries, while Bennett was transported by a private vehicle to medical treatment. No other vehicles were mentioned in the initial police statement.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about two miles south of the St. Joseph city limits.
