On or about Thursday, October 22nd, 2020, around 8:05 in the evening, an accident between a disabled pickup and a dump truck left a 66-year-old man dead. Police said the accident happened on Interstate 25 just a few miles west of Douglas, Wyoming.

State Troopers said that 66-year-old Paul Wizamiar was killed when his disabled pickup truck was allegedly struck by a dump truck on the shoulder of the interstate near mile marker 146. The dump truck allegedly lost control in heavy blizzard conditions when it veered out of the lanes and into the shoulder.

Wizamiar was pinned between his pickup and the dump truck. Paramedics pronounced him dead a short time after the accident. The dump truck driver did not report injuries.

Google Maps shows Interstate 25 as a four lane roadway with a rocky median dividing east and westbound traffic. Douglas is situated about 50 miles east of Casper.

State and local police are still investigating.
