On or about Tuesday, January 12th, 2021, around 9:45 in the morning, an accident between a delivery van and an 18-wheeler left a 58-year-old woman dead. Troopers from the DPS said the accident happened along Highway 385 near Boys Ranch in Oldham County, Texas.
Department of Public Safety representatives said 58-year-old Paula Boyd was killed when her delivery van was allegedly struck by an 18-wheeler that attempted to pass another tractor-trailer in the oncoming lanes. Boyd’s delivery van crashed into a ditch after the initial impact. Paramedics pronounced Boyd dead at the scene of the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is located about two miles north of Boys Ranch. Boys Ranch is located about 42 miles northwest of Amarillo.
Multiple agencies are still investigating the accident.
