On or about Thursday, April 28th, 2022, around 2:00 in the morning, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a pedestrian left a 42-year-old woman dead. Deputies from the Travis County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along Interstate 35 in Austin, Texas.
Spokespeople from the Austin Police Department said 42-year-old Pauline Juro was killed when she was allegedly struck by a passing motorist as she was walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of Interstate 35. Emergency responders pronounced Juro dead of her injuries a short time after they responded to the scene of the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from the exchange with Ben White Boulevard.
Officials are still investigating the cause of the incident.
