On or about Tuesday, April 26th, 2022, around 5:30 in the morning, a serious accident between a tractor-trailer and a police motorcycle sent one officer to the hospital. Officers from the LAPD said the accident was reported at the intersection of Avalon Boulevard and Albertoni Street in Carson, California.
Spokespeople from the Los Angeles Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified officer was injured when the motorcycle they were on and a tractor-trailer collided under unspecified circumstances at Avalon and Albertoni. Paramedics transported the police officer to the hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 17 miles south of downtown Los Angeles.
