Details:
On or about Tuesday, December 15th, 2020, around 10:30 in the morning, an accident between a police officer and a tractor-trailer sent the officer to the hospital. Officers from the NYPD said the accident happened on Broadway in the Astoria area of New York City, New York.
Authorities said an as-of-yet unidentified traffic enforcement officers was injured when they were allegedly struck by an 18-wheeler. The truck subsequently rolled over and pinned the police officer. Paramedics freed the officer and rushed him to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries.
The driver of the tractor-trailer stopped after the accident, and did not report injuries.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is in the center of Queens.
Police are still investigating the accident.
