On or about Thursday, October 28th, 2021, around 9:30 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a police officer on foot sent one person to the hospital. Authorities from the NYPD said the accident was reported at the intersection of Linden Boulevard and Eldert Lane in Brooklyn, New York.
Officials said an as-of-yet unidentified NYPD officer was injured when he was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer while tending to the scene of an accident at or near the intersection of Linden Boulevard and Eldert Lane. Authorities said the officer was directing traffic around an accident when he was pinned against a vehicle by a tractor-trailer. Paramedics transported the officer to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of Linden Boulevard and Eldert Lane is situated on the east side of Brooklyn.
Police are still looking into the cause of the accident.
