Details:
On or about Monday, December 6th, 2021, around 8:13 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer, an unmarked police patrol vehicle, and a passenger vehicle left three people injured. Troopers from the MSP said the accident was reported along the southbound side of Interstate 97 just outside Millersville in Anne Arundel County, Maryland.
Maryland State Police officials said an as-of-yet unidentified police officer and two other people were injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly struck the back of a police patrol vehicle, pushing the unmarked police car into another nearby vehicle. Emergency responders transported the officer driving the unmarked car to the hospital where he was last reported in stable condition. The driver of the other vehicle and the driver of the tractor-trailer sustained unspecified injuries. It is not clear if they were taken to the hospital or treated at the scene by EMS.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance outside Millersville, which is roughly 19 miles south of downtown Baltimore.
Officials are still investigating the accident.
