Details:
On or about Tuesday, April 7th, 2021, an accident between a car and a tractor-trailer left two women dead. Deputies from the Sequatchie County Sheriff’s Office said the accident happened along Highway 8/111 in Dunlap, Tennessee.
Troopers from the TSP said 39-year-old Priscilla Williamson and 33-year-old Octavia Lackey were killed when the car they were in allegedly veered over the center line of the highway and struck a tractor-trailer. Debris from the crash struck a nearby car after the initial accident. Paramedics pronounced Williamson and Lackey dead a short time after the collision. No other injuries were mentioned by police in their preliminary statement.
Highway 8/111 runs east and west through the northern edge of Dunlap, which is about 41 miles north of Chattanooga, according to Google Maps.
State and local law enforcement are investigating.
