On or about Saturday, November 6th, 2021, around 7:00 in the evening, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a pickup truck claimed the life of a 78-year-old man. Troopers from the VSP said the accident was reported at the intersection of W. Military Highway and Snowden Street in Chesapeake, Virginia.
Authorities from the area said 78-year-old Pyong Lee was killed when the pickup truck he was in allegedly collided with a tractor-trailer that was attempting to cross from Snowden Street to West Military Highway. Emergency responders pronounced Lee dead of his injuries a short time after they arrived at the scene of the collision. Police did not mention any other injuries in their initial statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of West Military Highway and Snowden Street is situated on the west side of Chesapeake.
