On or about Saturday, May 21st, 2022, around 2:00 in the morning, a hit-and-run accident between a pedestrian and a passenger vehicle left a 45-year-old man dead. Officials from the LPD said the accident was reported in a parking lot near 50th Street in Lubbock, Texas.
Officers from the Lubbock Police Department said 45-year-old Ramon Ramirez was killed when he was allegedly hit by a passenger vehicle in a parking lot. After the initial accident, the vehicle that hit Ramirez fled the scene. Emergency responders rushed Ramirez to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time after his arrival.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is not far from Frankford Avenue.
Officials are still investigating the incident.
