On or about Monday, April 11th, 2022, around 6;15 in the morning, an accident between a pickup truck and a passenger vehicle left a 68-year-old man dead. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along U.S. Highway 84 in Taylor County, Texas.
Law enforcement representatives said 68-year-old Randall Wheeler was killed when the vehicle he was driving was allegedly struck by a pickup truck driven by 45-year-old Eddie Croft on Highway 84 at the intersection with Farm-to-Market 613. Emergency responders pronounced Wheeler dead of his injuries at the scene of the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about two miles east of Tuscola.
Officials are still examining the circumstances surrounding the accident.
