On or about Friday, April 15th, 2022, around 7:30 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer, a disabled 18-wheeler, and a pedestrian left a 69-year-old man dead. Representatives from the MSHP said the accident was reported on private property just off the side of Chapell Drive in Monett, Missouri.
Deputies from the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department said 69-year-old Randy D. Hance was killed when he as allegedly hit by a tractor-trailer that had veered off the side of the road and struck a disabled tractor-trailer and Hance, who was standing nearby. Emergency responders pronounced Hance dead of his injuries a short time after they responded to the scene of the crash.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the edge of the Monett city limits.
Multiple agencies are assisting in the accident investigation.
