On or about Saturday, January 8th, 2022, around 11:00 in the morning, a serious rollover car accident claimed the life of a 78-year-old man. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along State Highway 34 just outside Greenville, Texas.
Texas DPS officials said 78-year-old Raymond Ballard was killed when the passenger vehicle he was in allegedly drove off the side of the roadway and rolled on Highway 34. Paramedics pronounced Ballard dead of his injuries a short time after they arrived at the scene of the accident. Authorities did not mention any other vehicles in their report on the incident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from Greenville, which is about 51 miles northeast of downtown Dallas.
Police are still investigating the accident.
