Details:
On or about Friday, March 18th, 2022, sometime in the hours after dark, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a pedestrian left a 59-year-old man dead. Representatives from the PPD said the accident was reported along Northeast Vancouver Way and Gertz Road in Portland, Oregon.
Spokespeople from the Portland Police Department said 59-year-old Raymond McWilliams was killed when he was allegedly hit by a tractor-trailer when he fell under it’s wheels as it was passing. Paramedics pronounced McWilliams dead a short time after the collision. The tractor-trailer did not stay at the scene of the incident.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of Northeast Vancouver Way and Gertz Road is a short distance north of downtown Portland.
Authorities are still investigating.
