Details:
On or about Sunday, April 10th, 2022, sometime in the morning hours, a hit-and-run car accident with a cyclist left one man dead. Representatives from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along Sheldon Road in Houston, Texas.
Officers from the Houston Police Department said Raymond Daniel Wike was killed when he was allegedly hit by a vehicle as he was riding his bike along or across Sheldon Rd. After the initial accident, the vehicle fled the scene. Emergency responders rushed Wike to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time after his arrival.
According to Google Maps, the 9900 block of Sheldon Road is on the northeast side of Houston.
Authorities are still trying to track down the driver and vehicle that fled the scene of the accident.
