On or about Saturday, January 16th, 2021, around 10:30 in the morning, a single-vehicle tractor-trailer accident sent a 26-year-old woman to the hospital. Troopers from the MSP said the accident happened on Highway 86 just outside Lakefield in Jackson County, Minnesota.
Police officers said 26-year-old Rebecca Nichols was injured when the tractor-trailer she was in crashed and rolled in the median just off Highway 86. Paramedics transported Nichols to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries after the accident. Authorities identified the driver of the tractor-trailer as 27-year-old Brandon King, who was reportedly unhurt.
According to Google Maps, Lakefield is located about 131 miles southwest of Minneapolis.
State Police are investigating the accident.
