On or about Tuesday, June 7th, 2022, a major accident between a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer left a 56-year-old Santa Cruz woman seriously hurt. Authorities from the CHP said the accident was reported along Highway 1 in Santa Cruz County, California.
Authorities from the California Highway Patrol said 56-year-old Renanta Russo was seriously injured when the vehicle she was driving was allegedly hit by a tractor-trailer as she was attempting to turn along Highway 1. Paramedics airlifted Russo to a nearby hospital with serious injuries stemming from the collision.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is not far from the intersection with Laguna Road.
Police are still investigating the accident.
