On or about Monday, November 15th, 2021, around 4:10 in the afternoon, an accident between a box truck and a pickup truck claimed the life of a 77-year-old man. Deputies from the Charleston County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported along Highway 162 in Hollywood, South Carolina.
Law enforcement spokespeople said 77-year-old Rex Kinglsey was killed when the pickup truck he was driving was allegedly hit by a box truck while he was turning on Highway 162. Emergency responders rushed Kingsley to a nearby hospital where he died of his injuries a short time after his arrival.
According to Google Maps, Hollywood is about 23 miles west of Charleston.
Police are still looking into the accident.
