On or about Thursday, November 4th, 2021, around 7:30 in the morning, a serious accident between a motorcycle and a school bus claimed the life of a 17-year-old boy. Local law enforcement spokespeople said the accident was reported at the intersection of Eagle Canyon Drive and Richard Springs Boulevard in Spanish Springs, Nevada.
Deputies from the Washoe County Sheriff’s Department said 17-year-old Ricardo Gomez was killed when the motorcycle he was on allegedly struck the back of a school bus at or near the intersection of Eagle Canyon Drive and Richard Springs Boulevard. Emergency responders pronounced Gomez dead of his injuries a short time after the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 12 miles north of downtown Reno.
