Details:
On or about Monday, May 16th, 2022, a major collision between a moped and an SUV left a 66-year-old man dead. Deputies from the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported at the intersection of Boston Avenue and 2nd Place in Lubbock, Texas.
Officers from the Lubbock Police Department said 66-year-old Ricardo Ramirez was killed when the moped he was driving allegedly collided with an SUV driven by Alberton Elizondo. Emergency responders rushed Ramirez to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time after his arrival.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of Boston Avenue and 2nd Place is on the northwest side of Lubbock.
Police are still investigating the accident.
