Details:
On or about Tuesday, January 26th, 2021, an accident between a truck and a motorcycle and a truck claimed the life of a 34-year-old man. Officers said the accident happened along Ashlan Avenue near the intersection with Cedar Avenue in Fresno, California.
Sources from the area said 34-year-old Ricardo Simpson was killed when his motorcycle was allegedly struck by a truck that was attempting a turn. Emergency responders pronounced Simpson dead of his injuries a short time after the collision. Officials did not mention any other injuries stemming from the accident in their preliminary statement.
According to Google Maps, Ashlan Avenue runs east and west, while Cedar runs north and south through the area. The intersection is controlled by a stoplight.
California Highway Patrol and Sheriff’s Department personnel are still investigating the accident.
