Details:
On or about Thursday, July 7th, 2022, around 10:00 at night, an accident between a pedestrian and a passenger vehicle left one man dead. Authorities from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along North Closner Boulevard in Edinburg, Texas.
Representatives from the Edinburg Police Department said Richard Orlando Hernandez was killed when he was allegedly hit by a Ford F-250 pickup truck while he was skateboarding along North Closner. Emergency responders pronounced Hernandez dead of his injuries at the scene of the accident. Police did not mention any other injuries stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is in the 800 block of North Closner Boulevard.
Police are still looking into the accident.
