On or about Sunday, April 24th, 2022, around 8:35 at night, an accident between a box truck, a motorcycle, and a passenger vehicle left a 38-year-old Pekin man dead. Spokespeople from the ISP said the accident was reported at the intersection of Knoxville Avenue and Hickory Grove in Peoria, Illinois.
Officials from the area said 38-year-old Richard D. Sally was killed when the motorcycle he was driving and a box truck collided under unspecified circumstances, throwing Sally into the path of a nearby oncoming car. Paramedics pronounced Sally dead a short time after they responded to the accident. Authorities did not mention any other vehicles in their statement on the accident.
