Details:
On or about Tuesday, January 26th, 2021, around 6:05 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and an 18-wheeler left one man dead and sent two other people to the hospital. Representatives from the NSP said the accident happened along Interstate 80 in North Platte, Nebraska.
Law enforcement spokespeople said a tractor-trailer allegedly veered into the oncoming lanes and rolled before it collided with a tractor-trailer heading the opposite direction. Emergency responders pronounced 42-year-old Richard Zow dead at the scene of the accident. The driver and passenger in the other truck were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
Interstate 80 cuts through North Platte, which is about 280 miles west of Omaha.
Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
