On or about Wednesday, February 16th, 2022, around 4:52 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle left a 36-year-old man dead. Authorities from the MSHP said the accident was reported at the intersection of Highway 22 and 240th Street just outside Litchfield, Missouri.
Spokespeople from the Missouri State Highway Patrol said 36-year-old Rick Braun was killed when the vehicle he was in and a tractor-trailer collided under unspecified circumstances at Highway 22 and 240th Street. Paramedics pronounced Braun dead of his injuries a short time after the accident. Officials identified the driver of the tractor-trailer as Matthew Felegy, who was unhurt in the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from Litchfield, which is roughly 55 miles northeast of St. Louis.
Officials are still investigating the accident.
