On or about Tuesday, October 6th, 2020, around 8:20 in the evening, three people were injured in a tractor-trailer accident that was reported in Greenville, Ohio.
Officers said that 52-year-old Ricky Gump and a young passenger in his SUV were injured when they collided with a fuel tanker driven by 30-year-old Gaelen Flora II that was allegedly blocking the roadway while backing into a driveway. The collision resulted in a large fire.
The area does not appear to be industrial in nature based on Google Streetview images. The truck may have been backing into a residential driveway or farm.
Gump and his passenger were treated for unknown injuries after being taken to a nearby hospital. Flora was treated for his injuries at the scene.
Authorities are still investigating what led to the collision.
