Details:
On or about Wednesday, February 16th, 2022, around 8:15 in the evening, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a pedestrian left one man dead. Troopers from the KSP said the accident was reported at a Southeastern Freight Lines facility along Fleet Boulevard in Boone County, Kentucky.
Kentucky State Police representatives said Rick Markley was killed when he was allegedly hit by a tractor-trailer that moved unexpectedly while Markley may have been connecting a dolly to the semi truck. Emergency responders pronounced Markley dead of his injuries a short time after they arrived at the scene of the accident.
According to Google Maps, Boone County is in northern Kentucky.
Authorities are still trying to pin down all the factors that may have contributed to the accident.
