On or about Wednesday, August 11th, 2021, around 3:30 in the afternoon, an accident between a box truck and a car left two men dead and left a truck driver with criminal charges. Officials from the WSP said the accident occurred at the intersection of Adams Road and Route 283 in Grant County, Washington.

Troopers from the Washington State Patrol said 31-year-old Rigoberto Marmolejo-Garcia and his passenger were killed when their car was struck by a box truck that allegedly ran a stop sign at the intersection of Adams Road and Route 283. Marmolejo-Garcia and his passenger were pronounced dead a short time after the accident.

Authorities identified the driver of the box truck as Christopher J. Crisostomo, who currently faces vehicular homicide in connection with the incident. Police said drugs or alcohol may have been involved in the crash.

Officials are still investigating the accident.
