Details:
On or about Friday, April 2nd, 2021, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a pickup truck left a man dead and sent a woman to the hospital. Investigators said the accident happened near the Kroger on Highway 85 South in Fayetteville, Georgia.
Police said 69-year-old Robert Ernest Chancellor was killed and his wife was injured when their pickup truck and a tractor-trailer collided under unknown conditions. Chancellor was pronounced dead of his injuries at the scene. His wife was taken to the hospital in critical condition, but has since been upgraded to stable condition. The driver of the tractor-trailer sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 22 miles south of downtown Atlanta.
Authorities are still investigating the accident.
