On or about Monday, March 7th, 2022, around 1:56 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a pickup truck towing a livestock trailer sent a 65-year-old man to the hospital. Officials from the OHP said the accident was reported along Highway 83 just outside Turpin in Beaver County, Oklahoma.

Investigators from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said 65-year-old Robert Eugene Lovelace was injured when the pickup truck he was driving was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer at an intersection along Highway 83. Paramedics transported Lovelace to a nearby hospital before he was airlifted to a hospital in Amarillo with serious injuries stemming from the collision. Authorities identified the driver of the tractor-trailer as Brandon Dewayne Hollar, who was unhurt in the accident.

According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is almost a mile south of Turpin.

Authorities are still investigating the incident.
