Details:
On or about Sunday, May 8th, 2022, sometime in the afternoon hours, an accident between a wrong way vehicle and two other cars left one person dead and sent two others to the hospital. Deputies from the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along Bandera Road in San Antonio, Texas.
Authorities from the San Antonio Police Department said 62-year-old Robert James Sanford was killed when the van he was driving allegedly struck two other vehicles while driving the wrong direction down Bandera Rd. Emergency responders pronounced Sanford dead a short time after the collision, while two people in another vehicle were treated for injuries of an unspecified nature or severity.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the collision is not far from the intersection with Zachry Drive.
Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
