Details:
On or about Monday, January 10th, 2022, around 8:15 in the morning, a serious accident between a tractor-trailer and a cargo van left two individuals dead. Troopers from the TSP said the accident was reported along the eastbound side of Interstate 40 in Roane County, Tennessee.
Investigators from the Tennessee State Police said 63-year-old Robert Rich and 39-year-old Adam Milburn were killed when the cargo van they were in allegedly struck the back of a tractor-trailer along the eastbound side of Interstate 40. Emergency responders pronounced Rich and Milburn dead of their injuries a short time after the collision. Officials did not report any other injuries.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 40 cuts east and west through Roane County, which is situated about 44 miles southwest of downtown Knoxville.
Authorities are still investigating the incident.
