On or about Wednesday, September 8th, 2021, around 8:30 at night, an accident between a construction worker and a tractor-trailer claimed the life of a 50-year-old man. Deputies from the Anoka County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported at a construction site near the intersection of Armstrong Boulevard NW and Bunker Lake Boulevard NW in Ramsey, Minnesota.

Police from the area said 50-year-old Robert Vogelsberg was killed when a tractor-trailer allegedly backed over him as he was working at a construction site. Emergency responders pronounced Vogelsberg dead of his injuries a short time after the accident. Officials did not mention any other injuries in their initial report on the accident.

According to Google Maps, Ramsey is situated about 31 miles northwest of downtown Minneapolis.

Multiple agencies are examining the circumstances surrounding the accident.
