On or about Saturday, January 22nd, 2022, around 4:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a pedestrian left a 54-year-old woman dead. Troopers from the CHP said the accident was reported at the intersection of Murrieta Hot Springs Road and Winchester Road in Temecula, California.
Spokespeople from the California Highway Patrol said 54-year-old Robin Kropp was killed when she was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer that was attempting a turn at the intersection of Murrieta Hot Springs Road and Winchester Roads. Emergency responders pronounced Kropp dead of her injuries a short time after they arrived at the scene of the accident. Officials did not mention any other vehicles in their report.
According to Google Maps, Temecula is about 84 miles southeast of downtown Los Angeles.
Officials are still investigating the accident.
