Details:
On or about Friday, December 24th, 2021, around 9:00 at night, a serious single-vehicle car accident claimed the life of a 32-year-old man. Spokespeople from the EPPD said the accident was reported in the 9600 block of Gateway East Boulevard in El Paso, Texas.
Officers from the El Paso Police Department said 32-year-old Rodolfo Rayas was killed when the SUV he was in allegedly drove off the side of Gateway East Boulevard and rolled off the road when it struck a curb. Emergency responders rushed Rayas to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time after his arrival. Officials did not mention any other injuries stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is situated on the far east side of El Paso.
Police are still working to pin down all the factors that may have contributed to the accident.
