Details:
On or about January 30th, 2022, around 2:10 in the morning, a major five-vehicle chain-reaction pileup accident sent one individual to the hospital. Investigators from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Interstate 14 in Belton, Texas.
Troopers from the Texas DPS said 22-year-old Rogelio Sanchez was injured when the Chevrolet Avalanche he was driving allegedly collided with a Dodge Ram pickup truck that had become disabled in the roadway after it collided with a barrier on the side of the road. After the initial collision, three other vehicles were ensnared in the accident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 14 cuts east and west through the center of Belton.
Authorities are still trying to pin down all the factors that may have contributed to the collision.
