Details:
On or about Wednesday, February 16th, 2022, around 10:50 in the morning, a serious tractor-trailer accident with a passenger vehicle left one person dead. Officials from the ASP said the accident was reported along Highway 20 in Lawrence County, Alabama.
Investigators said 57-year-old Roger D. Cartee was killed when a tractor-trailer allegedly slammed into his vehicle along Highway 90. Emergency responders pronounced Cartee dead of his injuries a short time after they responded to the accident. Police did not mention any other injuries stemming from the collision.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from Hillsboro.
Officials are still investigating the accident.
