Details:
On or about Wednesday, November 4th, 2020, around 8:40 in the evening, an accident between a cyclist and an 18-wheeler sent a 44-year-old man to the hospital. Officials said the accident happened in the 4900 block of State Road 128 in Whitewater Township, Ohio.
State Police said 44-year-old Ron Miller was seriously hurt when he was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer while riding his bike on the shoulder of the roadway. The tractor-trailer subsequently fled the scene of the accident. Paramedics airlifted Miller to UC Medical Center to be treated for serious injuries.
Authorities are still working to track down the tractor-trailer.
Google Maps shows State Road 128 is a two lane major thoroughfare that snakes through Whitewater Township, which is located about 22 miles northwest of downtown Cincinnati.
Ohio State Highway Patrol is assisting in the investigation.
