On or about Wednesday, May 11th, 2022, around 5:40 in the evening, an accident between a truck towing a trailer and a motorcycle left a 49-year-old Carlinville man dead. Troopers from the ISP said the accident was reported along Route 108 in Montgomery County, Illinois.
Spokespeople from the Illinois State Police said 49-year-old Ronald C. Schaaff was killed when the motorcycle he was on was allegedly hit by a turning truck towing a box trailer along Route 108. Emergency responders pronounced Schaaff dead of his injuries a short time after the accident. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their report on the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is not far from the intersection with East 2nd Road.
