On or about Wednesday, August 25th, 2021, an accident between a flatbed tow truck and a pickup truck claimed the life of an 82-year-old Indiana man. Troopers from the PSP said the accident was reported along Old Route 119 in Cambria County, Pennsylvania.

Authorities said 82-year-old Ronald Shearer was killed when his pickup truck allegedly collided with a flatbed tow truck that was backing out of a driveway along the side of Old Route 119. Paramedics rushed Shearer to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries a short time after his arrival. Police did not mention any other injuries stemming from the incident.

According to Google Maps, Old Route 119 runs north and south through Cambria County, which is about 72 miles east of downtown Pittsburgh.

Multiple agencies assisted at the scene of the incident.
