On or about Tuesday, December 14th, 2021, a serious two-vehicle tractor-trailer accident claimed the life of a 27-year-old truck driver. Deputies from the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported at the intersection of Highway 36 and Mitchell Road in Chillicothe, Missouri.

Officers from the Missouri State Highway Patrol said 27-year-old Ronald Tillman was killed when the tractor-trailer he was driving was allegedly hit by an 18-wheeler driven by 36-year-old Isse Mohamed Hassan when Hassam made an improper turn at Highway 36 and Mitchell Road. Paramedics transported Tillman to Truman Medical Center in Kansas City where he succumbed to his injuries a short time after his arrival.

Authorities have since charged Hassan with first-degree involuntary manslaughter in connection with the incident.

According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the southeast side of Chillicothe, which is situated about 90 miles northeast of downtown Kansas City.
