On or about Thursday, October 29th, 2020, around 8:00 in the evening, an accident between a tractor-trailer and an SUV claimed the life of a 49-year-old man from Upper Marlboro. Authorities said the accident happened in the 600 block of Hampton Park Drive in Capitol Heights, Maryland.
Investigators said 49-year-old Ronnell Lamont James was killed when the SUV he was driving allegedly collided with an 18-wheeler that was backing across the roadway. James was pronounced dead at the scene from his injuries. No other injuries were reported.
Looking at Hampton Park Boulevard on Google Streetview shows a four lane major thoroughfare that runs north and south through a retail/commercial area. Capitol Heights is located in the southeast portion of the greater Washington DC area.
