On or about Tuesday, October 12th, 2021, around 7:00 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and an SUV sent two individuals to the hospital. Troopers from the ISP said the accident was reported along Xavier Avenue just outside Duncombe in Webster County, Iowa.

Authorities from the Iowa State Patrol said Rose Coate and Robert White were injured when the tractor-trailer White was driving allegedly struck Coateā€™s SUV on the shoulder of Xavier Avenue. Paramedics transported Coate and White to the hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the accident. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their preliminary report on the collision.

According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from the Duncombe city limits, which is about 85 miles north of Des Moines.

Police are still examining the circumstances surrounding the accident.
