On or about Wednesday, June 15th, 2021, around 5:15 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a motorcyclist left a 34-year-old Plano man dead. Deputies from the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along the westbound side of Highway 80 in Forney, Texas.

Department of Public Safety Troopers said 34-year-old Ross Sheridan was killed when the motorcycle he was driving allegedly made contact with a tractor-trailer he was trying attempting to pass. Paramedics pronounced Sheridan dead of his injuries a short time after they responded to the scene of the accident. Police did not mention any other injuries stemming from the accident.

According to Google Maps, Highway 80 runs east and west through the center of Forney, which is about 25 miles west of downtown Dallas.
