Details:
On or about Friday, October 29th, 2021, around 10:00 at night, an accident between a tractor-trailer and an SUV left two individuals dead. Representatives from the CHP said the accident was reported along Highway 126 at Wells Road in Ventura, California.
Authorities from the area said 33-year-old Ruben F. Hernandez and his as-of-yet unidentified 22-year-old passenger were killed when the SUV they were in allegedly collided with a tractor-trailer that had just exited from Highway 126 to turn onto Wells Road. Hernandez and his passenger were pronounced dead of their injuries a short time after EMS responded to the accident.
According to Google Maps, the exchange of Highway 126 and Wells Road is on the east side of Ventura, which is about 68 miles west of downtown Los Angeles.
Officials are still investigating the crash.
